Inspired by the artistry of the Shanghai qipao, this Mid-Autumn mooncake gift film draws upon the elegance, craftsmanship, and cultural continuity embodied in the garment. Through the language of CG, the film translates the flowing lines and textile sensibility of the qipao into a poetic visual narrative, carrying emotion through movement, light, and atmosphere.

Created for The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai in collaboration with the city’s intangible cultural heritage brand Xialoulan, the film presents the Mid-Autumn gift box as a contemporary expression of Shanghai’s legacy. Rooted in tradition yet refined through modern visual storytelling, it celebrates the spirit of reunion and craftsmanship—offering a gift shaped by heritage, care, and enduring elegance.
